Humla, October 30, 2026 — Shram Sanskriti Party Chairperson and Member of Parliament Harka Sampang has met schoolchildren in Humla during a visit linked to the construction of a suspension bridge intended to address the risks faced by students crossing rivers to attend school.
In a Facebook post, Sampang said he travelled to Humla to help end the situation in which children in the country's most remote district still have to cross rivers using tuins to reach school.
He said he had learned that the foreign donor organization Kaduri would begin installing a suspension bridge at the location from November 14 (Kartik 28).
Sampang also announced a decision to build a steel bridge at Lipne, near Ripp village, for the students to cross. He said the decision was made at the request of the ward chairpersons of Sarkegad-2 and Sarkegad-6, along with local residents.
He expressed happiness over the information about the planned suspension bridge and conveyed his affection and regards to Humla.
