Berlin, Germany, September 4, 2026 — Xiaomi Auto will enter the European electric vehicle market in 2027, beginning with Germany, as the Chinese technology company takes steps to establish a sales and service network ahead of its expansion.
The company announced the plan during IFA 2026 in Berlin, where Xiaomi Auto signed memoranda of understanding with eight German automotive dealer groups. The agreements are intended to form the foundation of a European retail and after-sales service network.

Xiaomi and eight German auto retail groups pose at IFA 2026. Xiaomi plans to launch its electric cars in Germany and other European markets from 2027.
The initial partners are Ernst Dello GmbH & Co. KG, Autohaus Dinnebier GmbH, Emil Frey Germany, Fett & Wirtz Automobile GmbH & Co. KG, Hahn Automobile GmbH + Co. KG, LUEG Mobility GmbH, Penske-Jacobs Innovation GmbH and SPT Avior SE & Co. KG. Xiaomi said it plans to work with additional European dealers as preparations for its market entry continue.
“Xiaomi Auto is committed to long-term investment in Europe,” said Yu Liguo, vice president of Xiaomi Auto and head of its international business department. He said the company’s European research and development centre in Munich, together with a growing network of local sales and service partners, would be important to its expansion strategy.
The agreements are currently memoranda of understanding rather than final dealership contracts. Xiaomi has not yet disclosed which vehicle models will be sold in Europe, their European prices, the number of planned outlets or a detailed delivery schedule.
