Makwanpur, October 29, 2026 — A 58-year-old woman died after being struck by a bus while crossing the road in Deurali, Ipa, in Bhimfedi Rural Municipality-8, Makwanpur.
The deceased has been identified as local resident Lila Khatri.

According to the Area Police Office in Bhimfedi, Khatri had got off a bus bearing registration number Ba 2 Kha 9430, which was travelling from Ipa through Bhimfedi towards Hetauda. She was crossing the road when the same bus struck her, killing her at the scene.
Police have initiated the necessary legal procedures following the incident. Khatri’s body was being taken to Hetauda Hospital for a postmortem examination, according to the information provided.
