Kathmandu, August 26, 2026 — Prime Minister Balendra Shah is set to appear before the House of Representatives on Wednesday to answer questions from lawmakers during the direct question-and-answer session.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the House meeting is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM, with Prime Minister Shah responding to questions raised by lawmakers under Chapter 9 of the House of Representatives Regulations, 2026.
The session comes after Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal directed the prime minister to attend the House and respond to lawmakers’ questions in accordance with parliamentary regulations.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shah is also scheduled to present the Seventh Annual Report of the Muslim Commission for the fiscal year 2024/25.
Similarly, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha will table the long-term electricity trade agreement between Nepal and India.
