Rasuwa, September 14, 2026 — Pedestrian movement along the Rasuwa-Nuwakot road section has resumed after temporary crossings were constructed at locations where floods destroyed bridges over the Phalakhu Khola and the Bhote Koshi River in Syaphrubesi.
The destruction of the permanent bridges had disrupted transport and movement in the area. Authorities have now installed temporary structures to provide immediate access to residents until permanent bridges can be rebuilt.
Superintendent of Police Tul Bahadur Bhandari of the Armed Police Force said a temporary bamboo-and-wood bridge has been constructed at Betrawati. A metal cable crossing, locally known as a tuin, has also been installed at Syaphrubesi.
The tuin has already been completed, while work is continuing to improve the approach routes. According to officials, the crossing is expected to become fully operational within one or two days.
Provincial Assembly member Indra Prasad Gotame said the temporary crossing at Betrawati has made travel easier for residents arriving from the Nuwakot side.
