Rasuwa, September 19, 2026 — Eleven more bodies have been recovered during a search for people who went missing from the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project following the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on August 26.
The Nepali Army said the bodies were found and brought out on September 19 by a joint rescue team, including representatives of the project, during a search operation.
According to the army, the bodies were found trapped inside a mesh at Audit 3 Tunnel and buried in mud.
A large number of people have gone missing from the project site following the flood. The Nepali Army said the search for other missing people is still underway.
