Nuwakot, September 5, 2026 — A woman has been rescued alive from a house buried by flood debris in Betrawati, Nuwakot.
According to Armed Police Force spokesperson Netra Bahadur Karki, the woman was rescued from the home of Ananda Shrestha.
The rescue comes as search and rescue operations continue in areas affected by the devastating floods that struck the region.
Earlier, the Nepali Army had rescued a Chinese national from the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project. Two other people were also rescued alive on Thursday from a tunnel at the Trishuli 3 ‘A’ Hydropower Project.
Search and rescue teams remain deployed in flood-affected areas as authorities continue efforts to locate people who are still missing.
