Harka Sampang says Labour Culture Party will address landlessness if elected to power

Jhapa, November 4, 2026 — Labour Culture Party Chair Harka Sampang Rai has said his party stands with working-class and poor people, claiming that its members are demonstrating their political goals through voluntary labour in different parts of the country.

Addressing a public gathering organised by the party in Kakarbhitta, Mechinagar-6, Sampang accused the current government of failing to take the landless squatters’ problem seriously.

“Since we are not in government, we have only been able to raise our voices. Once we reach power, we will arrange land and housing for landless people,” he said.

Sampang also highlighted the problems caused by wild elephants in Jhapa and urged the government to ensure the safety of citizens and their property.

At another gathering organised by the party in Arjundhara on the same day, Sampang said the country could become prosperous and its people could enjoy better living conditions through hard work.
