Kathmandu, November 1, 2026 — Continuous rainfall has obstructed several road sections in Kavre, Khotang and Lalitpur, with landslides and debris from swollen streams disrupting traffic.
According to a notice issued by Nepal Police Headquarters at 6 a.m. on Sunday, the affected road sections remained blocked at the time of the update.
In Kavre, traffic on the BP Highway has been completely disrupted at Pinthali in Ward No. 9 and Gimdibesi in Ward No. 8 of Roshi Rural Municipality. Mud, debris and stones carried by swollen streams have accumulated on the road.
In Khotang, a landslide has blocked approximately 15 metres of the Mid-Hill Highway at Lakuridanda in Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-1, after mud and debris slid down from the hillside.
In Lalitpur Metropolitan City-2, rising water levels in the Bagmati River have disrupted traffic along the Bagmati River Corridor road at Sundarighat.
Meanwhile, a landslide has completely blocked the Kanti Lokpath at Pangdur and Tarkuchhe in Bagmati Rural Municipality-3.
