Kathmandu, November 1, 2026 — The National Vocational Training Academy under the Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment is preparing to provide free online training to young people on using artificial intelligence (AI) effectively and writing practical prompts.
The programme, titled “Effective Use of AI and Prompt Writing”, will run on November 4 and 5, Wednesday and Thursday, with four separate sessions scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on both days.
Each participant will be assigned to one of the four sessions. With 500 seats available in each session, the programme will accommodate up to 2,000 participants.
The course will cover the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude, techniques for writing clear and useful prompts, and ways to use AI to prepare emails, notes, meeting minutes and presentations.
Participants will also learn to generate images and short videos using AI, apply the technology responsibly and check the accuracy of information produced by AI tools.
The training is designed to help young people use AI in their studies, employment and professional activities. The ministry is also introducing live online training through this programme.

“Young people should not be excluded from knowledge and skills related to AI. As technology advances, the opportunities it creates must be accessible to young people across the country. This free online training is designed to provide basic AI knowledge and practical skills.
“Our goal is to offer more advanced courses through both online and in-person platforms in the coming days, enabling a larger number of young people nationwide to become proficient in AI technology,” said Youth, Labour and Employment Minister Ramji Yadav.
