Kathmandu, October 5, 2026 — Moderate rain and snowfall are likely at a few places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
Light rain and snowfall are also likely at one or two places in the mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, while moderate rainfall is expected at a few places in their hilly areas.
Moderate rainfall is likely at one or two places in Madhesh Province and the Tarai areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Generally cloudy weather is expected in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, as well as the hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces. Partly cloudy conditions are likely in the mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces and across the Tarai.
The meteorological analysis states that westerly winds are influencing the entire Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces and the western parts of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
