New Delhi, India, September 19, 2026 — Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has urged Indian investors and business leaders to explore new investment opportunities and expand existing operations in Nepal during a business and investment interaction hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Wagle addressed the interaction on the second day of his three-day official visit to New Delhi, highlighting Nepal’s favorable environment for trade and investment.
He said there is significant potential for bilateral cooperation in digitalization, clean energy, high-value agriculture, wellness tourism and manufacturing.
Wagle emphasized that Nepal should be viewed not only as a market but also as a strategic partner for production, value addition and supply chain integration.
Indian business leaders participating in the event expressed strong interest in Nepal’s investment policies, incentives and sector-specific opportunities.
