Kathmandu, September 1, 2026 — An all-party meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. today to discuss search and rescue operations, relief distribution and rehabilitation efforts following the devastating flash floods along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river corridors.
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) spokesperson Jagadish Kharel told the state-owned Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) that the meeting will be held at the party’s parliamentary party office.
Representatives of political parties are expected to discuss the extensive loss of life and property caused by the floods, as well as ongoing rescue operations and efforts to locate people who remain missing.
Relief distribution to affected communities and plans for rehabilitation are also expected to be among the key issues discussed at the meeting.
The devastating floods have caused widespread destruction across several districts, damaging settlements, infrastructure and other public and private property. Search and rescue operations remain underway in affected areas.
