Kathmandu, August 27, 2026 — The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to provide Rs 5 million to support rescue and relief efforts for victims of the devastating Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa.
The party has also suspended all political and organizational activities indefinitely and decided to direct its resources toward disaster response.
The decisions were taken during an RSP secretariat meeting on Wednesday to assess the loss of lives and property caused by the floods in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Nawalparasi and other affected districts.
According to a statement issued by RSP General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya, the party will contribute the Rs 5 million to the government’s relief fund through the single-window mechanism.
The party has also appealed to individuals and organizations providing assistance to use a single relief mechanism to promote transparency and ensure that aid reaches affected communities effectively.
