Solukhumbu, November 4, 2026 — The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has formed a five-member committee to investigate the collision between two helicopters in Feri Che, Solukhumbu.
The committee is coordinated by CAAN Director Prabhakar Chandra Mallik and includes pilots and aircraft engineers.
The two helicopters — Air Dynasty’s 9N-AOD and Fishtail Air’s 9N-AJR — collided in Feri Che on Tuesday. One person died in the incident, while two pilots and one passenger were injured.
According to the authority, the committee was assigned to examine and analyse the cause of the collision and other factors that may have contributed to the accident before preparing a report. CAAN announced the committee's formation on Wednesday.
A 41-year-old Indian national died after his car plunged into a stream below Jalbire Long Waterfall in Chitwan. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
