Las Vegas, USA, August 13, 2026 — LG Electronics and Nvidia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to expand their collaboration on AI-powered robotics and next-generation autonomous vehicle technologies, strengthening their joint push into physical AI systems. The agreement was signed on August 13, 2026, while Nvidia’s initial CES 2026 announcement on January 6 highlighted LG’s early showcase of its CLOiD home robot powered by Nvidia technology.
The partnership combines LG’s expertise in electronics, robotics, and artificial intelligence with Nvidia’s computing platforms and physical AI ecosystem. LG is among the companies leveraging Nvidia’s robotics technology stack to develop advanced AI-driven machines.
For robotics development, LG is adopting Nvidia’s Isaac GR00T family of foundation models to accelerate the creation and deployment of intelligent robots, including humanoid systems. The companies are also preparing a bipedal humanoid robot scheduled for unveiling in the first quarter of 2027.
The humanoid robot will integrate multiple Nvidia technologies, including Jetson Thor for onboard computing, Isaac GR00T for robot intelligence, and Halos for Robotics for safety systems. In addition, LG affiliates will contribute key hardware components: LG Electronics will supply actuators, LG Innotek will provide sensors, and LG Energy Solution will deliver battery systems.
Nvidia’s robotics platform combines computing hardware, AI models, and development tools designed to help machines perceive their environment, reason about tasks, and perform physical actions. The collaboration also extends to broader physical AI development, including support for startups and academic institutions using LG’s EXAONE AI models, further linking LG’s AI research with Nvidia’s robotics ecosystem.
