LG and Nvidia expand partnership to build AI robots and autonomous driving systems
LG Electronics and Nvidia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to expand their collaboration on AI-powered robotics and next-generation autonomous vehicle technologies, strengthening their joint push into physical AI systems. The agreement was signed on August 13, 2026, while Nvidia’s initial CES 2026 announcement on January 6 highlighted LG’s early showcase of its CLOiD home robot powered by Nvidia technology. The partnership combines LG’s expertise in electronics, robotics, and artificial intelligence with Nvidia’s computing platforms and physical AI ecosystem. LG is among the companies leveraging Nvidia’s robotics technology stack to develop advanced AI-driven machines.

Google launches Gemini 3.7 Flash with improved coding and reasoning
Google has launched Gemini 3.7 Flash, just three weeks after introducing Gemini 3.6 Flash, with the company positioning the new model as its most capable “workhorse” model yet for coding and AI agents. Google said Gemini 3.7 Flash is the result of developer feedback and algorithmic improvements that are expected to contribute to future models. Compared with Gemini 3.6 Flash, the new version brings upgrades across software engineering, knowledge work and web development.

Apple declares iPhone X and 2018 15-inch MacBook Pro obsolete
Apple has moved the iPhone X and the 15-inch MacBook Pro released in 2018 from its vintage products category to its obsolete products list, ending the devices’ eligibility for standard hardware service from Apple and its authorized service providers. Apple’s classification means service providers can no longer order replacement parts for the two products. Apple defines products as obsolete when it stopped distributing them for sale more than seven years earlier.

Chinese automobile manufacturer Dongfeng has entered Nepal’s electric bus market, with Aayam Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd., under the Himalayan Organization, launching two electric bus variants at the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. The company is offering the Dongfeng City EV and Long Range EV, priced at Rs. 11.45 million and Rs. 12.4 million, respectively. Customers booking either model during the expo will receive a discount of Rs. 500,000 from the listed price.
