A tiger that entered a settlement in Rapti Municipality-1 and attacked a local man and a cow has been safely captured by a technical team from Chitwan National Park. The tiger entered the settlement at around 6:30 am on Sunday, triggering panic among residents in the area. A 60-year-old local, Thakur Adhikari, was injured in the attack and is receiving treatment at Bharatpur Government Hospital. His condition has been reported as stable.

A tiger has reportedly been spotted around Dubichaur and Deurali Chowk in Rapti Municipality-1 of Chitwan, prompting concern among local residents. A video circulating on social media appears to show a tiger walking through the area. Local warnings say the animal has reportedly been moving around the area since around 4–5 am. There are also unverified reports that the tiger killed a dog and attacked a person, seriously injuring the individual. The injured person was reportedly taken to a hospital for treatment.

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) is selling liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders at five designated locations in Kathmandu on Saturday as consumers continue to face difficulties obtaining cooking gas. The special sale is being conducted in coordination with the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, to provide cylinders to consumers facing an immediate shortage. The move comes amid a recent surge in demand and distribution difficulties in the LPG market, although authorities and industry representatives have maintained that imports and overall supply are continuing.
