Kathmandu, September 7, 2026 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 18.07 points to close at 2,560.84 points on Monday, the first trading day of the week, as the stock market recorded a broad-based recovery.
A total of 9.29 million shares of 352 companies changed hands through 50,844 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs 3.831 billion.
Share prices of 195 companies increased, while 79 companies declined and four remained unchanged.
Pure Energy recorded the highest gain of the day, with its share price rising by 15 percent. Most other gaining companies posted single-digit increases.
Among the sectoral indices, all groups except Finance and Trading recorded gains. The Non-Life Insurance sub-index posted the highest increase, rising by 2.05 percent. The recovery also extended to the Banking and Manufacturing sectors.
