RSP opens applications for municipal election candidates

Kathmandu, October 16, 2026 — The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has opened applications for people interested in contesting the upcoming local elections as representatives of municipalities.

The party is inviting applications from aspiring candidates for the posts of mayor, deputy mayor, ward chairperson and ward member.

In a public notice issued on Thursday, the RSP announced the opening of its Municipality Candidate Club applications, inviting those interested in leading their municipalities through the upcoming local elections to apply.

Applications can be submitted through the party’s mobile application.

The RSP had previously opened applications for its Rural Municipality Candidate Club on Bhadra 1.

According to the party’s candidate selection process, applicants interested in contesting elections on the RSP ticket must first submit their applications to the Candidate Club before the selection process begins.
