Kathmandu, September 14, 2026 — Police have arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly posting videos on social media promoting prostitution and offering to arrange women for clients at different prices.
The arrested man has been identified as Saroj Lama, a permanent resident of Phidim Municipality-3 in Panchthar who has been living in New Bus Park, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26.
Police arrested Lama on September 13 and obtained a five-day remand from the Kathmandu District Court to investigate the alleged offence of promoting prostitution.
According to police, Lama was found making and posting videos in which he claimed that he could arrange women for customers for different amounts of money.
Police said they arrested him after locating him in a different appearance from the one shown in the videos he had posted on social media.
