Baglung, October 4, 2026 — Galkot Municipality has reported damage to 63 residential structures following flooding, landslides and severe weather conditions over the past week.
According to municipal records, the damage includes one ward office building. A further 133 structures have also sustained partial damage, the municipality reported.
The severe weather destroyed 39 structures completely and caused partial damage to 52 structures.
Irrigation infrastructure was also affected, with 21 concrete irrigation systems suffering major damage and 24 sustaining minor structural damage. In addition, 203 rudimentary irrigation structures were damaged.
