Lalitpur, September 25, 2026 — Home Minister Sudhan Gurung visited the CPN-UML central office in Chyasal on Friday as the water level in the Manohara River rose amid continuous rainfall.
Gurung reached the area to assess the situation around the party office as the rising river level increased the risk of flooding in Chyasal.
The water level in the Manohara River has continued to rise, while the Bagmati River has also seen increased water levels amid persistent rainfall. Further increases in the water level are possible if the rainfall continues.
The rising water level has put the CPN-UML central office premises in Chyasal at risk of flooding. The premises were also affected by flooding last year after the Manohara River overflowed into the compound.
