Kathmandu, August 25, 2026 — Pre-bookings for the Yatri P2 electric scooter have opened in Nepal as Sipradi Yatri begins accepting bookings at the NADA Auto Show 2026 in Kathmandu.
The company has not yet announced the official price of the P2. The scooter was officially unveiled ahead of the auto show, with Sipradi Yatri positioning it as a locally designed and manufactured electric scooter.
The P2 is the second major product from Yatri following the P1 electric motorcycle and the first model introduced since Yatri partnered with Sipradi Trading. The scooter has been developed and engineered in Nepal, marking a significant step in the country's domestic electric-vehicle industry.
The P2 is powered by a 10 kW electric motor and will be available with three battery options: 3 kWh, 3.7 kWh and 5.2 kWh. The top-spec 5.2 kWh battery has a claimed range of 157 kilometres on a single charge, while the 3.7 kWh and 3 kWh versions are rated for 112 km and 90 km, respectively.
Yatri says the P2 is the first scooter in its segment to support DC fast charging. With a 3.3 kW fast charger, the battery can be charged from zero to 80 percent in 41 minutes. Using a home charger, an 80 percent charge takes around two hours and 50 minutes.
