Kathmandu, August 25, 2026 — Jaecoo has introduced the new J5 Pro electric SUV in Nepal with a smaller battery pack and a lower price than the existing J5.
SPG Automobiles, the authorized distributor of Omoda and Jaecoo in Nepal, has started selling the new J5 Pro at the NADA Auto Show 2026. The company has announced an introductory price of Rs. 4.799 million, available to the first 100 customers.
The new variant is Rs. 900,000 cheaper than the existing Jaecoo J5, which is priced at Rs. 5.699 million. The lower price comes with a reduction in battery capacity, with the J5 Pro equipped with a 50.7 kWh battery compared with the 58 kWh unit in the existing model.
The J5 Pro has a claimed driving range of up to 405 kilometres on a full charge. It is powered by a 155 kW electric motor driving the front wheels and produces a peak torque of 288 Nm.
Inside, the SUV features an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other equipment includes a panoramic glass roof, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 50W wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, a powered tailgate and a 360-degree camera.
