Kathmandu, October 1, 2026 — Nepal’s stock market closed almost unchanged on Thursday, with the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index gaining 0.26 points to 2,599.15.
The market fluctuated during the trading session before ending at nearly the same level as the previous day.
Share prices of 139 companies increased, with Sindhu Bikash Bank recording the highest gain of 10.81 percent.
Shares of 128 companies declined, while those of 12 companies remained unchanged. Sayapatri Hydropower posted the biggest loss, falling 9.66 percent.
Total market turnover stood at Rs 4.89 billion. Siddhartha Bank recorded the highest turnover at Rs 305.3 million, followed by Api Power with Rs 228.1 million.
