Kathmandu, October 6, 2026 — Nepal’s stock market rebounded on Tuesday after declining for two consecutive sessions, with the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index gaining 11.96 points to close at 2,578.73.
Most subgroups posted gains, while microfinance and non-life insurance were the only exceptions. The Trading subgroup recorded the highest increase, rising 0.82 percent.
Share prices of 169 companies increased, led by Trishuli Hydropower, which gained 5.11 percent. Share prices of 95 companies declined, while 15 remained unchanged. Sarbottam Paints recorded the biggest decline, falling 4.94 percent.
Despite the rise in the NEPSE index, daily turnover declined. Shares worth Rs 3.1381 billion were traded on Tuesday, compared with Rs 3.27 billion on Monday.
Ghalemdi Hydropower recorded the highest turnover at Rs 239.1 million, followed by Liberty Energy with Rs 139.1 million.
