Kathmandu, October 2, 2026 — Nepal’s stock market declined 11.90 points on Friday, with the Nepse index closing at 2,587.25.
The index fell 0.45 percent on the final trading day of the week, while total turnover exceeded Rs 4.29 billion. A total of 11.91 million shares of 356 securities were traded through 43,685 transactions.
All sub-indices except mutual funds and trading declined. The manufacturing and processing sub-index recorded the biggest loss, falling 0.73 percent.
NMB Debenture posted the highest gain, rising 14.29 percent, followed by SBL Debenture, which increased 8.80 percent.
Sindhu Bikash Bank recorded the biggest decline, falling 8.55 percent, while Dhaulagiri Microfinance Financial Institution dropped 4.95 percent.
