Kathmandu, September 28, 2026 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell 16.47 points to close at 2,613.33 on Monday as share prices of 224 companies declined.
Hathway Investment recorded the largest decline in share price, falling 10.58 percent.
Meanwhile, share prices of 49 companies increased.
Total market turnover stood at Rs 5.38 billion. Himalayan Distillery recorded the highest turnover among individual companies, with shares worth Rs 358.2 million changing hands.
Russian Ambassador Alexey Vladimirovich Surovtsev said Russia is interested in investing in Nepal’s education and sports sectors during talks with Minister Sasmit Pokharel in Kathmandu.
