Kathmandu, September 25, 2026 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose 11.77 points to close at 2,629.81 on Thursday, as share prices of 176 companies increased.
Most sectoral sub-indices posted gains, except non-life insurance, pushing the overall market higher. The manufacturing and processing sub-index recorded the largest gain, rising 1.83 percent.
Nepal Lube Oil recorded the highest increase in share price, gaining 12.47 percent.
Despite the rise in the NEPSE index, overall market turnover declined. Shares worth Rs 5.44 billion were traded on Thursday, down from Rs 6.35 billion on Wednesday.
Shivam Cements recorded the highest turnover at Rs 358.1 million, followed by Himalayan Distillery with Rs 351.6 million and Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower with Rs 243.5 million.
