Kathmandu, September 14, 2026 — Nepali Congress General Secretary Pradip Paudel has called on party members, supporters and well-wishers in Nepal and abroad to participate actively in the party’s 15th General Convention.
The convention is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu from October 2 to 5. Paudel said the event would provide an important opportunity to strengthen the party’s organisation and advance its political development.
Speaking after Sunday’s meeting of the Nepali Congress Central Executive Committee, Paudel thanked party members who contributed to the distribution, renewal and updating of active membership.
He said the deadlines for membership distribution, renewal and updating had been extended several times, while the schedule for ward-level conventions had also been revised to ensure that no active member was denied the opportunity to participate in the convention process.
Paudel also appreciated party members who, despite not participating in the special convention, have continued to take part in preparations for the general convention at every organisational level, from the central committee to lower-level committees.
