Janakpur, October 11, 2026 — A formal complaint has been registered against a man accused of fatally stabbing a youth in Janakpur and his parents on charges of murder and attempted murder, according to Dhanusha District Police Office.
The complaint was filed on Saturday by Riaz Safi, the uncle of the deceased, Aamin Safi, against Mohammad Irsad Khan, 22, also known as Gunda, his father, Mohammad Shamim Khan, and his mother, Saimun Khatoon. The accused are residents of Sonarpatti in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-5.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Om Prakash Khanal, spokesperson for the Dhanusha District Police Office, confirmed the registration of the complaint.
Aamin Safi, 24, a local resident, was killed in a stabbing incident behind Janaki Temple in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-5 on the evening of Ashoj 22. Another youth, 25-year-old Imtiaz Rain, sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment at the Provincial Hospital.
Following the incident, police arrested the alleged attacker, Mohammad Irsad, and his mother, identified in the report as 42-year-old Saimun Khatoon.
