Birgunj, September 17, 2026 — Four pistols and six rounds of ammunition were recovered from an abandoned Indian-registered car in Birgunj Metropolitan City-15, Parsa, on Wednesday.
The Armed Police Force, Nepal recovered the weapons from a car bearing Indian registration number UP 16 AJ 3301, which was found abandoned at Bastubihar Chowk in Birgunj-15.
Acting on specific intelligence received from the Intelligence Bureau of the Armed Police Force, Nepal, a team deployed from the Armed Police Force, Nepal No. 13 Battalion Headquarters, Parsa, searched the vehicle and recovered two locally made pistols and two revolver-type pistols.
The team also recovered six rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition used with the firearms.
The recovered weapons, ammunition and the abandoned car have been handed over to the District Police Office, Parsa, for further investigation, according to the Armed Police Force.
