Kathmandu, August 25, 2026 — Nepal’s stock market extended its losing streak on Tuesday, with the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index falling 5.30 points to close at 2,594.27.
Despite the decline in the benchmark index, trading activity increased during the session. Total turnover reached Rs 4.10 billion, up from Rs 3.23 billion on the previous trading day.
Share prices of 187 companies declined, while 78 companies recorded gains and 12 remained unchanged.
Sarbottam Paints Industries and Crest Micro Life Insurance were among the day’s top performers, with both companies reaching the positive circuit limit.
Dhaulagiri Laghubitta recorded the largest decline among individual companies, with its share price falling 10.07 percent.
