Kathmandu, August 23, 2026 — The price of gold in Nepal’s domestic market increased by Rs 2,800 per tola on Sunday, reaching Rs 319,500 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
Gold was traded at Rs 316,700 per tola on Friday. The latest increase has pushed the benchmark price of the precious metal to Rs 319,500 per tola.
Meanwhile, silver moved in the opposite direction, with its price falling Rs 10 per tola. Silver declined from Rs 4,985 per tola on Friday to Rs 4,975 per tola on Sunday, according to the federation.
