Gulmi, October 13, 2026 — Air services have resumed at Resunga Airport in Gulmi district after being disrupted for around four months due to adverse weather conditions, including thick fog and strong winds.
Resunga Airport Station Chief Suman Thapa said flights had been disrupted since the first week of June because weather conditions made operations difficult.
Following the resumption, a Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) aircraft carrying 13 passengers from Kathmandu landed at Resunga Airport on Tuesday morning. The aircraft then returned to Kathmandu with two passengers.
With weather conditions improving, NAC has introduced a revised schedule to operate flights three times a week. The prolonged disruption had caused difficulties for elderly people, patients and others needing to travel to Kathmandu for essential work.
NAC operates the Kathmandu–Gulmi and Gulmi–Kathmandu routes using 18-seat Twin Otter aircraft.
