Darwin, Australia, August 22, 2026 — Nepal A suffered its second consecutive defeat in the ongoing Top End T20 Cricket Series, losing to Bangladesh High Performance XI by nine wickets on Saturday.
Sent in to bat first, Nepal A struggled to build momentum and finished its allotted 20 overs at 99 for nine wickets. Bangladesh made light work of the modest target, reaching 100 for one in just 10.2 overs.
Jishan Alam anchored Bangladesh’s chase with an unbeaten 52 from 29 deliveries. His innings included four sixes and three fours as Bangladesh completed a comfortable victory.
Shahab Alam was Nepal A’s only successful bowler, taking Bangladesh’s lone wicket.
Kushal Bhurtel was Nepal A’s leading scorer, making 46 from 40 balls with three fours and one six. Shahab Alam and Bipin Khatri contributed 11 runs each, while Rijan Dhakal scored 10.
