Dhangadhi, August 22, 2026 — Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Federal Affairs Pratibha Rawal has said resolving land-related problems remains a top priority for the government and called on local governments to provide full support to the process.
Speaking at a programme in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City on Saturday, Rawal said the government was fully prepared to facilitate and coordinate the distribution of land ownership certificates to landless families and informal settlers.
She urged Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City to give greater priority to resolving land-related problems alongside its other local development programmes.
Earlier, during a meeting with the Kailali Land Problem Resolution Committee, Rawal said the government was implementing a targeted plan to distribute land ownership certificates within 600 days.
She said the federal government would provide the resources and human resources required to meet the target, while local levels would need to cooperate effectively in implementing the programme.
