Kathmandu, September 21, 2026 — The fifth installment of the ‘Kabaddi’ film series, titled ‘Kabaddi 5: After the Final Match’, will be released in cinemas on October 23 (Kartik 6), according to the production team.
The production team announced the release date by unveiling the film’s first-look poster. The poster features the film’s main characters Kaji, BK and Chhantyal, played by Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral and Buddhi Tamang, respectively.
Produced by Basuri Films, the film is directed and written by Rambabu Gurung. Its cast includes Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral, Buddhi Tamang, Bipin Karki, Rishma Gurung, Sirjana Gurung, Pushkar Gurung, Kabita Ale, Aruna Karki, Shishir Bangdel, Maotshe Gurung, Kamalamani Nepal, Vishnu Moktan, Pramila Rai, Suraj Yadav, Ramesh Bajracharya, Hari Mijar, Panch Subba Gurung, Ghanu Joshi, Sumitra Pahim, Anup Neupane, Madhu Mijar, Hemant Budhathoki, Saroj Aryal and Shekhar Chapagain.
Rambabu Gurung, Maniram Pokharel, Madhu Mijar and Bishal Gurung (LG) have invested in the film. Sagar Raj is the executive producer.
The film’s music has been composed by Kaliprasad Baskota, Adha Sur and Jhuma Limbu. Sanjay Lama is the cinematographer, while Surendra Poudel is the editor.
