Kathmandu, October 5, 2026 — Nepal Rastra Bank has invited international bids for the design, production, supply and delivery of 300 million two-rupee coins.
The central bank’s Currency Management Department is seeking qualified security printing firms through an international competitive bidding process.
Interested firms must submit their technical and financial proposals in separate sealed envelopes. Companies can purchase the bidding documents from the Currency Management Department until November 3, 2026.
The bidding document fee has been fixed at Rs 20,000, US$131 or €115.
A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for October 16, 2026, at the Currency Management Department office in Thapathali, Kathmandu.
