Kathmandu, September 21, 2026 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has suspended Monday’s regular securities trading session following a technical problem at a data center hosting the servers of 72 trading member companies.
In a notice issued on Monday, NEPSE said the technical problem occurred at Data Hub Pvt. Ltd. on the morning of September 20. Despite efforts to resolve the issue, the problem had not been fixed at the time of the notice.
NEPSE said continuing to operate the trading system under the existing conditions could pose a risk of damage to its core infrastructure.
The Stock Brokers Association of Nepal had also formally requested NEPSE to suspend Monday’s regular trading session.
Based on the request and the prevailing situation, Nepal Stock Exchange Limited decided to halt regular trading for September 21 under Rule 21(1) of the Securities Listing and Trading Regulations, 2018.
