Kathmandu, September 8, 2026 — Gold and silver prices increased in Nepal’s domestic market on Tuesday, with the price of gold rising by Rs 3,500 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold was traded at Rs 305,400 per tola on Tuesday, up from Rs 301,900 per tola on Monday.
Silver also recorded a significant increase. Its price rose by Rs 100 per tola from Rs 4,690 on Monday to Rs 4,790 on Tuesday.
Russian Ambassador Alexey Vladimirovich Surovtsev said Russia is interested in investing in Nepal’s education and sports sectors during talks with Minister Sasmit Pokharel in Kathmandu.
