Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, October 14, 2026 — A ballistic missile struck the administrative complex of Saudi Aramco in the eastern Saudi city of Dhahran on Tuesday night, damaging the building and triggering a fire as tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen intensified.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), an Energy Ministry official said the attack caused a fire inside the building. No casualties were reported.
Reuters reported, citing a source connected to the company, that the missile strike damaged the building’s top three floors. Two other people familiar with the incident also confirmed the fire. However, the available reports did not independently establish who carried out the attack.
The Dhahran complex is one of Aramco’s major operational centres. The company is a key pillar of Saudi Arabia’s economy, with a network that includes oil wells, pipelines, processing facilities and export terminals.
