Nepal to face Canada in crucial ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 match

Al Amerat, Oman, October 17, 2026 — Nepal will face Canada today in their third match of the ongoing ODI series under the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 in Oman.

The match will be played at Al Amerat Cricket Ground, Ministry Turf 1, starting at 11:15 am local time.

Nepal have won both their previous matches, defeating Canada in their opening game before beating hosts Oman in the second.

Nepal are sixth in the League 2 standings with 28 points from 34 matches, while Canada sit seventh with 27 points from 35 matches.

Canada, after losing their opening matches against Oman and Nepal, defeated Oman on Thursday.

Canada’s victory over Oman meant Nepal’s chances of finishing in the top six were not yet secured. A win against Canada today would guarantee Nepal sixth place in the standings.

If Nepal lose to Canada, they will need to beat Oman in their final match on Monday to secure sixth place.
