Bajura, September 23, 2026 — A teacher in Bajura has been found serving as an election officer at a ward-level convention of the Nepali Congress.
Min Bahadur Dani, a teacher at Jaishindanda Basic School in Badimalika Municipality-1, was assigned as an election officer for the ward convention held under the Nepali Congress’s 15th General Convention.
A letter issued by the Nepali Congress Central Election Committee on September 20, 2024, states that Dani was appointed as an election officer to conduct elections in the designated ward, rural municipality, municipality or provincial assembly constituency.
The letter also instructed him to travel to the designated location and conduct the election impartially.
A letter issued by the Central Election Committee’s office in Bajura instructed election officers to spend up to half of the amount collected as candidate registration fees after completion of the election and deposit the remaining amount with the District Election Committee. They were also instructed to submit an election report along with financial details.
