Bajura, October 5, 2026 — A man died after receiving an electric shock from a power pole in Budhiganga Municipality-2 of Bajura district.
The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Dhan Bahadur KC of Pariban in Budhiganga Municipality-2.
According to police, KC left his home on Wednesday but did not return by evening, prompting his relatives to search for him. He was later found dead at the scene after coming into contact with an electric current from a pole carrying a central electricity line inside the Pariban Community Forest in the same ward.
Local residents informed the District Police Office, Bajura, at around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday. A four-member police team led by Assistant Police Head Constable Ratan Bahadur Saud from the temporary police base camp in Balde then reached the scene.
Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
