Udayapur, October 14, 2026 — A 65-year-old man died from an electric shock while connecting an electricity line for Durga Puja in Triyuga Municipality-12, Udayapur, on Tuesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Badrinarayan Chaudhary, a resident of Jyoti Nagar Tol in Purano Gaighat.
According to Rajan Chapagain, chief of the District Police Office, Udayapur, Chaudhary sustained serious injuries from the electric shock and was immediately rescued and taken to Udayapur District Hospital. However, the hospital declared him dead before treatment could begin.
Police said Chaudhary’s body was being examined before being handed over to his family.
