Kathmandu, October 14, 2026 — Passengers travelling from Nepal to India are no longer allowed to carry the MOBIKINS MK PB-04 power bank on flights, according to a notice issued by Nepal Airlines.
The restriction follows a circular issued by India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Under the new arrangement, the specified power bank is completely prohibited on any flight operating to or from India. It cannot be carried in cabin hand baggage, checked baggage or as cargo.
The restriction follows an incident involving an IndiGo Airlines flight travelling from Delhi to Chennai. After a passenger’s power bank caught fire on board, the aircraft was diverted to Hyderabad for an emergency landing.
