Kathmandu, September 22, 2026 — Nepal Telecom has brought new 2G and 4G mobile sites into operation at 13 locations across 11 districts in August, aiming to improve network coverage and service quality, company spokesperson Dr. Kamal Lamichhane said.
In Bagmati Province, new mobile sites have been brought into operation at the Lalitpur Metropolitan City-3 office and Chaundanda. Other installations include Mohanpur in Chitwan, Pokharidanda in Nawalpur and Madhyanepal in Lamjung, in Gandaki Province.
In Lumbini Province, new sites are operational in Dharmapani of Kapilvastu and in Rampur and Hongsi of Palpa. In Karnali Province, new towers have been installed in Kanakasundari of Jumla and along the Surkhet-Jumla road.
Sudurpashchim Province has also received new mobile sites in Badimalika of Bajura, Gankhet of Dadeldhura and Rithachaupata of Darchula.
Nepal Telecom said the newly activated sites will expand mobile and data connectivity and improve overall service quality in the respective areas. The company said it will continue expanding its network in areas where telecommunications services are unavailable or where additional coverage is needed.
