Kathmandu, October 8, 2026 — The Nepal Police Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has recommended filing cases against four officials of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) after concluding its investigation into financial irregularities and match-fixing.
According to the investigation, the irregularities amounted to more than Rs 6.65 million.
The CIB submitted its investigation report to the Attorney General’s Office on Wednesday, recommending ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, General Secretary Kiran Rai, Treasurer Rabindra Joshi and Accountant Sanjiv Pandey as defendants.
CIB spokesperson Anupam Shumsher JB Rana said the recommendation was based on evidence and documents collected during the investigation.
“The study of the evidence and documents obtained during the investigation showed irregularities of Rs 6.65 million. Based on that, it has been recommended to make them defendants and file cases,” Rana told RSS.
